Kirk Deighton - Local Listings
Wetherby residents on the north east fringe & Kirk Deighton's 500 villagers make Bay Horse their local. Kirk Deighton is birthplace to Admiral Palliser, in 1755 taking the teenage Captain Cook first to sea. Fellow Yorkshiremen!Kirk Deighton Church is of Norman origin, dating from 1160-1170.
In 1979 Kirk Deighton was designated a Conservation Area and in 2008 Harrogate Borough Council published a new appraisal.
